Background and Additional Info

Background: Comprised of a linear ubiquitin tetramer in which four ubiquitin monomers are linked in a head-to-tail arrangement. Each linkage is formed between the C-terminal glycine (Gly76) of one ubiquitin and the N-terminal methionine (Met1) of the next, creating a continuous peptide chain. This M1-linked (linear) ubiquitin architecture mimics physiologically relevant polyubiquitin chains involved in signaling pathways such as NF-κB activation and immune regulation. The defined tetrameric structure provides a consistent and biologically relevant tool for studying ubiquitin-dependent processes, protein interactions, and enzymatic activities.
